We are lucky enough to share 56 acres and multiple amenities between mother and daughter-owed farms in Gold Hill, North Carolina.
Violet Hill Farm and Happy Day Horse Farm

VIOLET HILL FARM

Violet Hill Farm sits on 22 acres; boasting 2 ponds, a small grass riding riding area, multiple pastures with shelters, a climate-controlled tack room and cross tie area. Our boarders have optional access to the neighboring farm, Happy Day Horse Farm, for a fee per time or per month!
Under construction are more pastures and an outdoor wash bay. In the future, we have plans for an 8-10 stall barn, outdoor Dressage Arena. We are anxiously awaiting the completion of the 200'X300'+ outdoor jump arena at the neighboring farm, that will be situated on the property line between the two farms. Our boarders will have access to this arena.

    includes: -24/7 turnout with other horses in paddock/ pasture with shelter 

                  -clean water at all times

                  -Grain feeding up to 2Xs/day via feedbags to insure no "sharing grain"

                  - Fescue hay available free choice

                  - Fields and paths for hacking with hacking trails on neighboring property

                  - Blanketing and fly gear put on/ taken off each day dependent on weather 

     Extra amenities and costs (provided upon request, in addition to board): 

                 - Alfalfa hay- $60/month for one flake given per day

                 - Holding for farrier, vet, chiro, or other services- dependent on day and time-$50/ horse/ appointment

                 - High quality supplements available to be added upon request- price dependent on type and amount of supplement added â€‹

Available Grain: We feed a high quality forage- based diet that has been proven to reduce inflammation and promote comfort and digestive function as well as optimal muscle health. Along with caring for and managing "typical" horses, we also manage PSSM, ECVM, and Metabolic conditions such as Insulin resistance, reoccurring laminitis, and Cushings. Depending on your horses needs, all get a fortified mineral and vitamin concentrate, free choice hay (type and feeding method depend on horse needs), low starch, high protein, high fiber, high fat diets. Electrolytes and salt fed automatically and dependent on weather. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions.

BOARD AT HAPPY DAY HORSE FARM

 Happy Day Horse Farm sits on 36 acres. It has 2 barns with a combined 13 stalls and 2 stall/run-outs, one sand/grass outdoor riding arena, one sand round pen, one 75' X 150' covered sand+fiber arena, a wooded hacking path, and multiple large pastures with shelters. Under construction is a 200'X300'+ outdoor jump arena, to be situated directly on the shared property line of the two farms.

Board: - $650/month

    includes: -12x12 stall bedded in sawdust (turn-out 1/2 day)

                     -stall cleaning 1x/day

                     -free choice hay (fescue or fescue mix)

                     -clean water at all times

                     - daily monitored turnout in groups

 Extra amenities and costs (provided upon request, in addition to board): 

           - Alfalfa hay- one flake/ day- $50/month; 2 flakes/day- $100/month (when available)

           - Blanketing- Not included

Available Grain: Tribute, Blue Seal, Purina, Beet pulp, alfalfa pellets

We know how scary it can be to trust another person with your most valued possession. At both of these farms, all horses are treated as our own. We take pride in returning happy, stress-free, horses in good health and are positive your horse will enjoy his/ her stay at either location!
